- 6,500 fans pack War Memorial Stadium to watch the annual football rivalry game between #12 Paducah Tilghman and #8 Mayfield. Mayfield’s Scott Robbins recovers a fumbled punt at Tilghman’s 2-yard line then Danny Kirby scores on the next play as Mayfield takes an improbable 20-17 victory over Paducah Tilghman in the 80th meeting between the two schools.
